AC DOORS TOPS SACKVILLE IN S/O IN 5-4 WIN

Perhaps the most anticipated game of the night was Sack-Vgas vs. AC Doors. Both teams are comprised of players stemming from Old Ham, Fall River, and Sackville and it was expected to be an intense game with lots of talent on display. Fans were treated to just that as both teams earned points in their opening games. 

AC Doors was first to get things started, Pat O'Neil potted his first of the season with assists going to Josh Parker. Neil Pashkoski would make it 2-0 AC Doors after he snuck behind the defence received a stretch pass and deked the goalie out with a nice move. Sack-Vegas would answer when Jeremy Thomas rifled a shot over Ricky Jones' shoulder to make it 2-1, with Kyle Peveril and Brett Arthur adding assists. Sack-Vegas would score late with only 5 seconds remaining in the first, when Brett Arthur deposited from Adam Brown and Matt Arthur. 

Pat O'Neil would continue with his hot hand in the second, scoring a beauty on a pass from linemate Josh Parker, however, Justin Hessian would an unassisted marker to make it 3-3. Andrew Oakley scored an unassisted marker on a goal mouth scramble that came to him in the slot which he wired top shelf to make it 4-3 with 5 minute remaining. A slew of penalties late made it seem like Sack-Vegas would have to settle for a 4-3 loss, but with their goalie pulled for a 5-3, Andrew Skinner buried with 2 seconds remaining to force a shootout. 

In the shootout Neil Pashkoski, and Andrew Bellfontaine would both score in the first three rounds for their respective teams, before Connor Fudge of AC Doors broke the deadlock, and Ricky Jones denied Hessian to gain the two points. 

Ricky Jones would stop 21 of 25 in the tie, while Pat Tillman stopped 19 of 23 also in the tie. 

Sack-Vegas will look for its first win Sunday when they play Nova Corp at 7:30, while AC Doors looks to win their second straight vs. Davies at 6:30pm.
